It's Friday and we're back in civilization. Three days in Yellowstone with no internet..........now that's roughing it ladies and gentlemen.
Yellowstone was really interesting with all the geothermal activity and the wildlife.
Leaving Yellowstone today was "an experience". Heading south out of the park, just outside the gate we hit some road construction, There was no pavement, just hard packed dirt and some gravel. Just to make it a little more interesting for those of us on motorcycles they wet down the road surface giving it a nice slick layer of mud. I'm here to tell you it was slicker than snot! It gets real exciting when the 900 lb cycle your riding starts to fishtail in the mud and ruts. It lasted about five miles but seemed like fifty! When it was over it felt like I had been rode hard and put away wet! I never saw so much mud on a bike that was not intended for off road use. If I knew that was coming I would have bought a set of Knobby tires. Picture that, a Goldwing with Knobbies! I'm really glad I wasn't on the Hoss.
The Grand Tetons were just that........GRAND! They are magnificant.
In Jackson we had lunch at the "Million Dollar Cowboy Bar". It was really something. All of the bar stools are saddles....complete with stirrups in case you get a bit tipsy you won't fall off!
We're in Evanston, WY tonight, right back where we were on the first night of our journey. Two more days and we'll be back to reality, the good lord willing and the creek don't rise.
Ron's hard at work uploading all the pics, videos and maps from the last three days. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did taking them.
